Aerial Systems: DTT-ready aerial installations
The coming years will see a major change in the way we receive television with the switchover throughout the UK to Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT). The change will run a phased programme starting 2008 with completion by 2012, with the result that any new or upgraded aerial installations should be planned with this in mind.
One in five people in the UK watches television through a communal aerial, Custom TV Ltd offers a complete aerial installation service for developers, landlords and managing agents. We will guide you to a cost-effective, future-proof aerial installation solution that receives all the existing analogue channels, digital radio broadcasts (DAB) and Freeview now, but which is fully compliant for when Switchover to full DTT takes place.
73% of the UK population are able to receive Freeview. However, just like analogue TV, some people might be in an area, which transmissions do not reach and are unable to receive digital signals. Some people will need an aerial upgrade, as many TV aerials and the cables that connect them to the TV are old and damaged.
You can find out by going to www.Freeview.co.uk and checking if you can receive Feeview.
